Travailing Route
Day 01 Arrival
Upon arrival you will be greeted by your guide who will accompany you to the hotel (30mins)
Settle into the hotel, rest and relax from your flight. Another option would be to head to for a rejuvenating spa therapy this evening.
We recommend heading for a hearty seafood dinner at a local restaurant.
Overnight in Negombo
Day 02 Negombo – Sigiriya
This morning we will make an early start to witness the catamaran sailing ashore with the day’s catch. The Fishing village can be quite vibrant and busy in the mornings. This will also be the best time embrace the life style of the local fisherman
Head back to the hotel for your breakfast.
Leisurely we will then make our way to the cultural triangle (4.5hrs). En route pit stops will be made to ensure a smooth journey.
Settle into the hotel in the afternoon, rest and relax from the journey. Another option could be to head to the Dambulla Cave temple.
Overnight in Sigiriya
Day 03 Polonnaruwa
This morning we will make an early start and drive to the ancient city of Polonanurwa (1.5hrs). Packed breakfast will be arranged to be served en route.
Visiting the UNESCO sites of Polonnaruwa can be done either as a cycling expedition or your guide will be happy to walk you around the sites. Cold towels and coconut water will be arranged at the end of the experience.
We recommend heading for lunch overlooking the lake this afternoon.
We will then be heading to the afternoon safari at the Minneriya National Park to witness the elephant gathering.
Head back to the hotel for the evening, Dinner could either be arranged in the hotel or feel free to speak to the guide about dining options at close vicinity.
Overnight in Sigiriya.
Day 04 Sigiriya – Matale – Kandy
This morning we will have an early to make our way to the breath taking, Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Cold towels, refreshments and coconut water will be arranged at the end of the experience.
Breakfast will be arranged at the hotel upon arrival.
We will then leisurely make our way to Kandy (3.5hrs). En route our first stop will be at the spice gardens to learn about the spices.
Settle into your hotel in kandy, rest and relax from the journey.
Dinner could be arranged in the hotel or if you may opt to dine out – do advise your guide.
Overnight in Kandy. (Temperature in Kandy will be 22 C).
Day 05 Kandy
This morning we will visit the Udawattakele bird sanctuary.
Head out to the Kandy city this day to visit the highlights. Your experience will start with a short troll through the busy markets and onto the temple of tooth in time for the religious ceremony. The day will end with a breath taking cultural performance out together by the locals.
Another option for this day could also be to visit the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage.
Day 06 Kandy – Colombo
This morning we will head back to city (3.5hrs), a train journey back to the city can also be arranged if this interests you.
Settle into the hotel, rest and relax this evening.
We will head to visit the highlights of the city this evening, this will also be a good opportunity for any last-minute shopping spree.
We recommend heading for a street food dinner by the Galle Face Green this evening.
Day 07 Departure
We will be heading to the airport in time for the flight (45mins)
